Jacksonville, FL paranormal Fest

Paranormal festival returning this fall

American Hauntings will return to Jacksonville this year for its 16th annual fall festival.

From noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Nichols Park Pavilion, there will be presentations on ghosts, hauntings, spirit locations, true-life encounters, macabre history and hauntings in America.

Tickets are also on sale for a ghost hunt at the Old Funeral Home at 210 W. College Ave., which will take place from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tickets are $45 and available online at prairieghosts.com/festival.html.

Troy Taylor and Lisa Taylor Horton will host the event. Both wrote the book “Haunted Jacksonville.” Horton is an author, tour guide and a teacher. Taylor is the founder of American Hauntings and the author of 120 books on ghosts, hauntings, crime and the supernatural.

Joining them will be author Rene Kruse and Patrick Keller, an educator, blogger and host of the Big Seance Podcast, which is a place for “paranerds” to have an open discussion on all things paranormal, but specifically on topics such as ghosts and hauntings, paranormal research, spirit communication, psychics and mediums and life after death.

American Hauntings will launch a new bus tour in Jacksonville for the fall. The Haunted Jacksonville bus tour will last about three hours. The tour will include not only ghost stories behind reportedly haunted sites, but their history as well. Bus tours are $35.
