Just because it isn’t Halloween yet, doesn’t mean that we can’t get our hearts racing right? The allure of the paranormal is what makes the spooky season best; you can indulge your need for screams right now by going on a ghost tour of the Pensacola Lighthouse.
The Pensacola Lighthouse and Maritime Museum is quite a beauty to explore on its own – but this beauty has its spooky side. The lighthouse has been deemed one of the most haunted lighthouses in America by Sci-FI’s Ghost Hunters.
But is this lighthouse really haunted, you’ve got to see to believe right? That’s the hard thing about paranormal activity, is that you have to experience it first hand to really know. Whether you’re a believer in the paranormal or not, you can see for yourself on the lighthouse’s ghost hunt tour.
During the hour and a half tour, you’ll walk the historic 1869 Keeper’s Quarters and tower to hunt for spirits and paranormal activity. If you’re a die-hard ghost hunter and like to document your paranormal experiences, feel free to bring your own equipment. If you don’t have your own, you’ll be able to share the tour guide’s with them.
You’ll also get to go up into the lighthouse tower, where people have reported seeing shadowy figures on the steps above them.
Both The Travel Channel and Sci-Fi channels’ Ghost Hunters have deemed this place haunted on their walkthroughs. Others who have explored and taken the tour have said they left with some very clear and unsettling EVP recordings of spirits communicating with them, as well as reports of communicating with a child spirit named Joey, and sightings of a shadowy woman wandering the halls.
This tour definitely isn’t for the faint of heart as you walk through the building at night. If you’re feeling brave, or simply seek the thrill of the unexplained, this is the spookiest tour you’ll never forget. You may just become a believer in the paranormal.
