‘Chilling demonic figure’ captured by paranormal investigators inside Hull’s 39 De Grey Street
Lee Steer and Kenny Saw held a paranormal investigation and live streamed it on their Ghosts of Britain Facebook group
Ghost hunters say they have held one of the most “astounding” paranormal investigations at a Hull house.
Spiritual experts Lee Steer and Kenny Saw say they saw and spoke to a spirit during the “active” session at notorious 39 De Grey Street.
Homeowner Andy Yates, who fled the house in 2007, previously claimed to have seen children appearing from within the walls of the house dubbed “the most haunted in Hull” by some.
As an experiment into the unknown, he brought furniture, believed to be haunted by trapped evil spirits, from Sutton Manor and put them in De Grey Street to see what, if anything, would happen.
Lee and Kenny then carried out their investigation – and say they saw demonic faces appear in the furniture and a ghostly green figure come out of a ‘laser vortex’.
Lee said: “I was absolutely astounded by what we found and experienced during the investigation and from the response that we got.
“It’s the best ever response that we’ve got from all the hundreds of places that we’ve visited before.
“It’s been my best location ever to investigate. The Sutton Manor room filled with demonic furniture was originally an outhouse, separate from the main house, and it was used in the war as a mortuary.
“As soon as we walked in, a black cat ran out at us, which was the first sign of bad luck – especially as Andy doesn’t even have a cat – and there were also ladders on the stairs, which was instantly another sign of bad luck.
“When we got in the room it felt really oppressive and we noticed that the woodwork on the furniture and bed headboard were morphed to show symbols of the devil and demons that were completely unnatural.
“We heard a tapping and turned on our geiger counter for radiation and it started spiking. It was then coming in waves and was heavy then quiet, even though it should be constant.”
They say during their trip to De Grey Street, a spirit that came through to them after they created a laser vortex inside the mirror room. There, they say the spirit started talking to them.
“We went into the mirror room and it all started to kick off,” said Kenny. “We told the spirits to come forward and that’s when we saw the green figure in the smoke.
“Next we went to Andy’s bedroom and heard the words ‘was unhappy here’ through the device. We used an EVP machine which said Andy’s name, which shocked us all.
“In the attic room, a spirit also told me to take my hat off and when we asked if the spirit wanted help to cross to the light, it told us ‘keep on walking’.
“Something also growled at me from the room with a Star of David on it, which really freaked me out.”
The Ghosts of Britain team plan to visit De Grey Street again before the new year in order to conduct further experiments.
